The population at Sotra is growing, as the former rural district of Sotra gradually becomes a suburbia of Bergen. The bus terminal at Ågotnes is currently at the end of the city. There are regular buses to and from town day and evenings. Further north, towards Solsvik, Vindenes and Øygarden, bus connections are more sparse, especially in the evenings. If working in the city, or attending evening events in town on a regular basis, this is the furthest out one can live.
In recent years, a new kindergarten and school has been built in the vicinity of the bus terminal, and there are now one kindergarten and two schools nearby.
Traffic-wise the mornings are the busiest time of the day, with school buses and additional traffic to and from the schools. The weather is nice and cold this morning, one of the last before the Christmas vacation. The microphone is faced north. To the right we hear the traffic from the main road to Øygarden, as well as the road towards Tranevågen, one of the schools. Busses are arriving and departing from the terminal.
Sound level at the end of the take is 69 dB, according to my smart phone. The sound file is available for download at Freesound.org.
